It is important that young students learning ballet are well-groomed. Having a uniform put the students in the correct frame of mind, helping them to learn and enjoy themselves while giving them a sense of pride and belonging to the class. It also promotes equality and teamwork.
The uniform itself has practical uses and allow teachers to see the aspects of the students’s technique and correct alignment in posture. Any unsafe habits can be identified and corrected, and this will enable students to achieve a good line in their dancing.
Central School of Classical Ballet follows the guidelines on the importance of safe dance practice, and we emphasise that students are required to be in safe, comfortable and appropriate dance wear.
