RAD Examination Information


- All RAD Graded Examinations are held at RAD venues.
- Candidates might be required to take time out of school to attend exams.
- Examinations are conducted by an RAD examiner only.

Age Specifications (on the 1st of January in the year of enrolment)


Pre-school dance curriculum - Level 1 (Age - minimum 3.5 years)
Pre-school dance curriculum - Level 2 (Age - minimum 4 years)
Pre-Primary in Dance (Age - minimum 5 years)
Primary in Dance (Age - minimum 6 years)
Grade 1 to Grade 3 (Age - minimum 7 years)
Grade 4 and Grade 5 (Age - minimum 9 years)
Grade 6, Grade 7 and Grade 8 (Age - minimum 11 years)

- Candidates must have reached the age required by the 1st of January (in the year of enrolment) to take an RAD examination in January to August of that year.
- Candidates must have reached the age required by the 1st of September (in the year of enrolment) to take an RAD examination in September to December of that year.
